Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate


Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas within the facility.

  • Loading and unloading general material and network equipment supporting general contractor shipments. Generally these items are palletized and includes, but is not limited to, the following: frames, servers, routers, antennas, reels and other sensitive electronic equipment as well as furniture, displays, crates and other common building operations items.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates, bins, knockdowns and baskets around the storage facility
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions (FIFO)
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery or changing out LP gas cylinders and pre-trip inspections


  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) 1-3 years
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment safely
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
  • Maintain a clean & safe environment
  • May be required to use RF scanner gun
  • The forklift operator requires satisfactory completion of a forklift training program. Physical demands and abilities
  • Regularly sitting or standing on a powered industrial truck
  • Frequently lift up to 40 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time if on the stand up lift
  • Having a good sense of balance
  • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
